The Humiovi is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all users.
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities. Conforming to these guidelines helps ensure the site is accessible to all people, including those who are blind, have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, have learning disabilities, cognitive limitations, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity, or a combination of these.
Accessibility Features
The Humiovi includes the following accessibility features:
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space, Escape, and arrow keys are supported throughout the site.
- Skip to content: A skip navigation link allows keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation and jump directly to the main content.
- Focus management: Focus is trapped within modals and drawers, and returns to the triggering element when closed. Visible focus indicators are displayed on all focusable elements.
- Screen reader support: Semantic HTML, ARIA landmarks, ARIA labels, and live regions are used throughout to ensure screen reader users receive meaningful information about page structure and dynamic updates.
- Color contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text) in both light and dark modes.
- Reduced motion: The site respects the
prefers-reduced-motion system setting. When enabled, animations and transitions are minimized or disabled entirely. - Touch targets: All interactive elements meet the recommended 44 by 44 CSS pixel minimum touch target size.
- Alternative text: All product images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked appropriately and hidden from assistive technologies.
- Form accessibility: All form fields have associated labels. Error messages are linked to their fields via ARIA attributes and announced to screen readers.
- Dark mode: A light and dark color theme is available, supporting system preferences and manual toggle.

- Third-party payment processing forms (Square) are managed by an external provider and may have their own accessibility characteristics.
- Some user-generated content (such as product reviews) may not always have optimal formatting for accessibility.
