Turquoise, silver and gold, chosen one piece at a time.
Uptown Sedona, drawn from OpenStreetMap data. From the Y, take 89A north into Uptown: the gallery is on your left at the first roundabout, on the north-west corner of Jordan Road, in the walkable district of galleries, shops and restaurants at the gateway to the red rocks.
The Humiovi Building, built in 1964 at the corner of 89A and Jordan Road, has carried the Humiovi name ever since; the name is Hopi for the little seed that sprouts.
The Gallery Experience
Handcrafted turquoise, sterling silver and gold, each piece chosen by hand. Where its maker is known, we are glad to tell you who made it.
Ask about a stone, a maker or a mark. Take your time and try things on; there is never any pressure to buy.
By Appointment
For a significant acquisition, a milestone gift, or simply an unhurried hour with our collection, we are glad to arrange a private viewing. Outside of regular hours, a member of our family or gallery team will set aside time to walk you through pieces chosen around your taste, your occasion, and the stones you love.
Looking for something particular — a specific mine’s turquoise, a squash blossom, a piece by a maker you admire? Tell us what you have in mind and we will source it through the artists and families we have known for decades. We are also happy to consult by phone or video for collectors who cannot visit Sedona in person.
Visiting Sedona
For Collectors
Sedona is one of the Southwest's great destinations for turquoise. The stone varies enormously by mine — the spiderweb matrix of Kingman, the deep blue of Sleeping Beauty, the green-gold of Royston. We can show you the differences in person, explain how each piece was set, and help you choose a stone that will age beautifully for generations.
For First-Time Visitors
Authenticity matters, and it is not always easy to judge on a busy street. At The Humiovi, a piece's tribal tradition is named on its product page wherever we know it, and the gallery was a longtime member of the Indian Arts and Crafts Association until its dissolution in 2018. When you visit, ask us about provenance — we are glad to tell you what we know of a piece and the hands behind it.
For Travelers
Allow yourself an unhurried hour. The gallery sits in the heart of Uptown Sedona, an easy stop between the red rock trailheads and the shops and restaurants along State Route 89A. Whether you are marking a special occasion or simply love fine craftsmanship, our team is here to make the visit memorable — no pressure, ever.
After Your Visit
If a piece or a conversation stayed with you, we would be honored if you left a review. It helps fellow travelers and collectors find Native American jewelry in Sedona.
